Love is an Action

To DO righteousness and justice is more acceptable
to the Lord than sacrifice.
Proverbs 21:3

The people in Texas dealing with the ongoing effects of Hurricane Harvey have been heavy on my heart over the weekend. I have been praying for them, and now I’m feeling frustrated that I’m so far away.
I would love to go volunteer, and I’m thankful when I keep hearing of the thousands of people near Texas jumping in to help. There are so many divisions for us to get sucked into, and I’m thankful that those divisions melt away during a crisis. Food distribution workers, housing opportunities for displaced people, and money donations are just some of the starting points to help out based on location. The easiest way is to get connected is through organizations that are trained and prepared to respond.

A big part of our faith is getting involved and helping others who need help. People are PRICELESS, and there is no better way to show God how much we love Him than when we love the people He has created.
